SKYLER SMITH
Skyler Smith is a photographer whose work is defined by its moody elegance and quiet intensity. With an eye for atmosphere and an instinct for human presence, Smith creates portraits and landscapes that feel intimate yet cinematic—capturing fleeting moments that linger long after they’re seen. His images balance romance with realism, drawing on the textures of light, shadow, and memory.
Smith’s photographs have appeared in The New Yorker, Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, and numerous books, earning him recognition for his rich tonal work and meticulous attention to detail. In addition to his photography, he runs Studio Woodstock, where he provides museum-quality, large-format printing, and conservation framing for artists and collectors.
A longtime musician, Smith’s sensibility is shaped by sound as much as by sight. His work carries a rhythm—whether in the stillness of a portrait or the layered depth of a landscape. He is currently developing an album and expanding his portrait practice, continuing to explore the intersections of people, place, and time.
